The Founder Institute, the world’s premier pre-seed startup accelerator, has come to Buffalo to help entrepreneurs at the pre-seed stage establish a support network of local startup experts who are invested in their success, and provide a structured business-building process that has helped its alumni raise over $800 million.
The institute’s structured, three-and-a-half month program was created using Silicon Valley best practices and input from hundreds of successful technology entrepreneurs from across the globe. It has been improved every year since 2009 based on the real-world performance of its graduate companies worldwide.
Participants attend an in-person three-plus hour session each week to pitch the mentors and receive training, evaluation, and feedback, then build their businesses for the rest of the week through a series of practical and challenging assignments, office hours, and group meetings. The rigorous program includes real-world tasks critical to building a business. Each week's assignments are based on the topic of that week’s session, and are designed to take approximately 20-30 hours.
Early admission for the Buffalo spring 2019 semester is Feb. 10, 2019, and final admission deadline is March 10, 2019.
