Viaduct, Western New York’s leading provider of talent and business solutions for startups, named Pete Petrella as its new managing director earlier this month. Founded in 2016, Viaduct finds top talent for entrepreneurs in order to drive faster revenue growth and better investment returns.
Petrella most recently served as vice president of Enterprise Solutions for HigherMe, a startup aimed at creating efficiencies in the recruiting process. Prior to that, he was strategy and development lead for 43North, the annual startup competition that awards more than $5 million in prizes to entrepreneurs each year.
Petrella has also held business development and marketing roles with Kaleida Health, the Buffalo Sabres, and the Buffalo Bills.
“Pete’s innovative thinking and experience working alongside local entrepreneurs will be outstanding assets to our team at Viaduct—and to Western New York’s startup community as a whole,” said Viaduct founder Scott Stenclik.
“Buffalo is in the midst of an exciting and significant transformation, and our startup community—which each year creates hundreds of new jobs and economic growth—is a driving force,” said Petrella. “My goal as managing director of Viaduct is to ensure these businesses have the resources and expertise they need for continued growth and success…all starting with the very best talent.”
A Buffalo native, Petrella sits on the board of directors for the Children's Hospital of Buffalo Foundation and the executive committee for the Amherst Chamber of Commerce. He is an alumnus of the University at Buffalo and Canisius College.
